Each year the MAMES program assembles a workshop on a topic not covered in our regular classes. The MAMES Workshop is a discussion group whose direction and focus of study will be determined largely by the students. At the end of the summer, participants will be invited to submit papers (1000-1500 workds) for publication in Rihla,
the MAMES journal.
This year, the topic of the workshop is The History of Sexuality and Gender in the Middle East.
The next meeting is on June 4 at 11:30am.
Elyse Whitehead will lead a discussion on women and healthcare in the Indian subcontinent.
