On Day 1, we visit Daliyat el-Carmel for a Druze Hospitality experience in Peki'in,
a colorful Druze village high on the slopes of Mt. Carmel. We visit the village and learn about the culture, religion, customs, and history of the Druze minority of Israel. Peki'in is also home to the oldest functioning synagogue in Israel, which we will tour. We will spend the night at a kibbutz, where we will watch the Israeli film, Beaufort, which will give us some geostrategical insight to what we are seeing and doing, and will introduce the political and security issues between Lebanon and Israel.

 
On Day 2, we hike in the Keziv Stream, visit the Druze cities of Majdal Shams and Quneitra at the border with Syria, and explore Har Bental. On our hike in the Keziv Stream Nature Reserve, we will see the Crusader battlement called the Montfort Castle. In the mixed city of Ma’alot Tarshila, we will have lunch. Continuing into the Golan Heights, we visit the Druze communities of Majdal Shams and take in a view of Quneitra, located at the border of Syria. Here will learn more about the Druze in Israel, and the history of Syrian-Israeli political and security issues. A visit to Har Bental will offer views of the Syria-Israel-Lebanon borders At night we will watch the feature film, The Syrian Bride to bring together several themes from the trip.
 
 
On Day 3 we visit the grottoes of Rosh HaNikra at the Lebanese-Israeli border, the picturesque town of Zichron Yaakov, and enjoy winetasting at the Binyamina Winery. At Rosh HaNikra, located at the border of Lebanon and Israel, we will also visit a nearby military post to understand the geo-strategic position of the area. Then we'll drive south to the charming town of Zichron Yaakov, stroll in the town’s main street and see the works of the local artists. We'll have lunch in Zichron Yaakov, and conclude our trip at the Binyamina Winery with a tour and some wine tasting. Then we head back to Tel Aviv.

This year the trip to the North will take place from June 7th through the 9th.
